The Board of Education has approved an exciting expansion of Career and Technical Education opportunities at Pacific High School! 🎉
Starting in the 2026-27 school year, a new partnership with St. Louis Community College at the Wildwood campus will allow 11th and 12th grade students to participate in a half-day, dual-enrollment CTE Academy, helping them earn industry-recognized credentials and college degrees while still in high school.
Students will be able to explore multiple pathways, including:
👉 Advanced Manufacturing
👉 Cybersecurity
👉 Geospatial and Drone Piloting
👉 Health Science
👉 Software Development

Students in Mrs. Cowsert’s Bake Shop class at Pacific High School recently wrapped up their cake unit by putting their skills to the test! 🎂
Each student was paired with a PHS staff member, who placed a custom cake order. After meeting to discuss flavor, design, and decoration preferences, students baked, leveled, stacked, and decorated their cakes tailored to each request!

Research shows that in 8th grade, chronically absent students score an average of 18 points lower on national tests than students who showed good attendance. Those missed days add up, creating gaps that can be difficult to close over time.

Members of Pacific Intermediate’s Crystal Club were rocking their geology exploration as they carefully used tools to crack open ordinary-looking geodes and reveal sparkling crystals inside. 💎✨
Students discovered that you cannot always judge a geode by its cover, as some were filled with clear quartz while others revealed beautiful smoky layers. It was a smashing success as students explored geology firsthand and uncovered the hidden treasures beneath their feet!

Coleman Elementary celebrated its 2nd annual Kindness Rocks project with creativity and heart. Students read the book “Kindness Rocks,” painted their own rocks, and thoughtfully chose kind words and messages to share with others. 🎨

Pacific High School DECA students represented our community during Missouri DECA Legislation Day at the State Capitol! 👏
During their visit, students met directly with state representatives to share the importance of DECA as a Career and Technical Student Organization and to help ensure legislators are informed about the program and the Perkins Funds that support it.
This annual opportunity helps students build confidence, advocacy skills, and a deeper understanding of civic engagement. 🏛️
