MVR-III staff and students, coordinated by co-chairs Stacy Kloeppel & Cathy Bearden, held the 6th Annual Special Education Field Day for special needs students at Pacific High School today, Friday, April 21. This inclusive event featured stations for gross motor skills, sports, a sensory area, face painting, and much more. Participants always look forward to meeting their PHS student buddies and competing on the stadium field during this trip. One student even said to his teacher, "This is like the super bowl to us!" Our district is fortunate to have so many caring and supportive staff, students, volunteers, and sponsors in #MVNation!

Incumbent Meramec Valley R-III school board members Matt Trower and Diana Meyer, as well as first-time board members Laura Riegler and Amanda Nemeth (as pictured left to right), were sworn in during the regularly-scheduled April meeting. Trower, Meyer, and Nemeth are beginning 3-year terms, while Riegler will fill a 1-year term. This is the 3rd term for Trower and 2nd for Meyer. The Board of Education also completed a reorganization vote with Trower and Meyer remaining President and Vice-President respectively. MVR-III is grateful for all board members’ willingness to serve our district! #MVNation
