MVR-III is pleased to announce details for the 2022 Homecoming festivities. Friday, October 7th is a half-day, which will allow all students, staff, and school groups the opportunity to participate in the Homecoming Parade at 3 PM that afternoon. Another new feature for Homecoming is the addition of Tailgating activities that will include food trucks and community vendors starting at 5 PM in the Pacific High School (PHS) parking lot, followed by a 7 PM football game kickoff versus the Festus Tigers.
Other Homecoming activities will include the district-wide spirit week, junior and senior powderpuff football game, and the high school dance. See the Frequently Asked Questions below for more information.

When is the 2022 Homecoming Parade and what time does it start?
The parade is Friday, October 7th with the parade starting at 3:00 p.m.
Where and what time is the parade line up?
The parade line up will begin at 2:00 p.m. on the Zitzman and Doris Hoffman parking lots.
Why is the parade being held on a Friday afternoon?
Historically, the parade has been held on a Saturday morning which limited the number of students attending due to extracurricular activities. A Friday afternoon parade will allow all school groups the opportunity to participate in the event.
Where is the float entrance for the parade?
Floats, trailers, trucks, and vehicles entered in the parade will need to check in and enter off of Payne Street.
Where do I enter if I am dropping off a parade participant?
Participants being dropped off or picked up will enter off of Osage Street onto the Pacific Intermediate parking lot. Drivers will loop around to exit onto Osage Street.
What is the parade route for the Homecoming Parade?
The parade will travel down West Union Street, make a right onto North 2nd Street, turn right onto St. Louis Street, then turn right onto South 6th Street to end on West Union Street near the Pacific Fire Department.
How can I participate in the Homecoming Parade?
The parade is open to outside organizations if space is available. All school and outside organizations will need to complete the online application form by September 31st. Complete the Parade Form Here
Prohibited entries and/or items?
The MVR-III School District welcomes outside organizations that promote the mission and vision of the school district if space allows.
Is there an entry fee?
There is no entry fee for parade participants.
Is parking provided for participants?
Limited parking is available in the Pacific Intermediate parking lot for adults participating in the parade. Parking will open at 2:00 p.m.
How will K-12 students participating in the parade get to the parade line up?
Buses will transport students and their school sponsors from their school to Pacific Intermediate to participate in the parade. Students will ride the same bus to return to their home school.
How will my student(s) get to the parade line up if they are participating in the parade with a non-school sponsored organization (Example: Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts)?
Parents will be responsible for transporting their child(ren) to Pacific Intermediate for the parade line up.
Will the School Age Child Care (SACC) Program be open on Friday, October 7th?
Yes, SACC will be open for child care services. However, students attending SACC that participate in a school sponsored activity in the parade may do so by completing the activity permission slip sent home by the school sponsor.
What will be offered at the PHS Homecoming tailgating event?
Pacific High School is soliciting food trucks and vendors to participate in the tailgating. Interested parties should complete the PHS Homecoming Tailgating/Vendor Form.
