PHS Student and Transportation Recognized as Difference Makers
Scott Mueller, PHS JAG student, jumped into action on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 when the Pacific Partnership's Santa Claus was stranded and unable to make the event. Scott Mueller, assigned to work the PHS JAG Coffee Station at the Christmas on the Plaza event volunteered to serve as Santa Claus. Not only did Scott serve as the hero for the night, but he also engaged the young visitors in conversation about their Christmas wishes.
Other Difference Makers recognized by the Board of Education included Joyce Moss and Ruby Taylor. Joyce and Ruby work in the Transportation Department during the day, but during December evenings, they help manage the Christmas on the Plaza events and parade for the community. The Christmas Parade was supported by MVR-III bus drivers to help block roadways to keep parade participants safe from regular traffic.
MVR-III School District is proud to have Scott, Ruby, Joyce, and bus drivers modeling their caring leadership in the community. Citizenship is one the district’s 8 Pillars of Success. The district encourages students and staff to join community organizations to help make a difference in our region. Contact Dr. Ketina Armstrong if you are interested in joining a community organization.
