The Missouri State High School Activities Association restructured the Cross Country District meet for the 2021 season to include 17 teams in place of the 8 teams from previous years. The top 30 individuals and top 4 teams qualify for the State Cross Country Meet.
In a very competitive Class 4 District, Pacific finished 8th as a team and qualified 2 runners for the State Meet on Friday, November 5th in Columbia, MO. Colin Haley, PHS senior, placed 19th and Nick Hunkins, junior, placed 29th. Haley and Hunkins have previously competed at the state level. Head Cross Country Coach, Lindsay Lee stated, "Pacific is proud to advance two of our young men—Collin Haley and Nick Hunkins—to the MSHSAA Class 4 State Cross Country meet through one of the fastest districts in the state. We had many standout performances, especially among our boys’ team. They have all persevered through a season of adversity, and the Pacific cross country coach’s staff is very proud of all our athletes."
