Event organizers are seeking volunteers for the Harvest Moon 5k night run & walk is on Saturday, October 23rd in Route 66 State Park after dark.
Why is the Harvest Moon 5k event important to the Meramec Valley community?
- The Harvest Moon Run is 100% volunteer organization and proceeds from the race benefit the Harvest Moon Run Hunger Mission, supporting initiatives like the Eureka-Pacific Elks Weekend Backpack Food Program and surrounding area food pantries including Agape Food Pantry.
What do volunteers need to know about the Harvest Moon 5k?
Volunteer Path Lighters needed to stand on the sideline throughout the course with flashlights to cheer and motivate runners and walkers.
Volunteers needed for a 2-hour commitment, arriving at 5:45 p.m. and finishing out the course with the last participant around 8 p.m. Documentation needed for service hours will be provided.
