Pacific High School junior, Nate Anderson was selected to participate in the American Legion Boys State of Missouri for the 2021 session. Boys State was an eight-day hands on experience in the functioning and fundamentals of state government. The Missouri Boys State completed its 81st session of providing distinguished speakers like former presidential candidate Julian Castro and journalist and current host of Face the Nation, Margaret Brennan. Participants joined a specialized course of instruction during their week at Missouri Boys State. Course offerings included campaigning and political operations, commerce, journalism and media, law, law enforcement and public safety, legislative and executive policy, and public administration. Nate was voted into the House of Representatives during his week at Missouri Boys State. 

This year’s Missouri Boys State was held on the campus of University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. Nate Anderson will return from Missouri Boys State and share his experience with the Meramec Valley R-III Board of Education in August. Nate was sponsored by the Pacific Eagles Aerie #3842.
