Tomorrow is the THIRD prize day. Send in your child's signed coupons based on how many items they have sold. The more items your child sells, the more prizes they will earn. This fundraiser will support the end of trimester celebrations as well as other events and items needed throughout the year. The fundraiser ends Sept. 24th.

Patriot Day was quite the success at Nike Elementary last Friday, September 13th! Fourth grade students led a school-wide ceremony where the Pledge of Allegiance and the Scout Pledge was recited by all in attendance. During the morning assembly, students listened to members of the Pacific Fire District, the Meramec Ambulance District, and the Franklin County Sheriff's Department. The first responders shared some of their special equipment and some interesting things about their careers. Some students were even given the opportunity to try on some of the gear!

For years now, 4th grade students at Nike Elementary have left their mark on the school as a part of their service-learning project. Last year was no different! Students in Mrs. Thompson’s class dedicated their time and imagination to create a wonderful piece of wall art. This year, Nike Scouts are able to use the Be The "I" In Kind backdrop to show that they are caring and respectful individuals, in and out of school. Showing respect to ourselves, others, and even our school building is one of Nike's Core Values and a major component to the character education that is taught. We are so proud of all our Nike students, past and present! #MVNation
PHS Cheerleading Kids Camp will be held 8-11 AM on Saturday, September 28. Participants (grades K-6) will get to perform before the varsity football game on October 4. Contact ccowsert@mvr3.k12.mo.us for more info! #MVNation

Don't Forget!! Your student can participate in Nike's Fall Fundraiser. Students may sell to family, friends, and even neighbors. Please remember to stay safe if you are doing door-to-door sales by going with a parent or trusted adult! All orders & payments are due back to school on SEPTEMBER 24TH!!
If your child has already gotten orders, they may bring in the Special Chicken Coupons (signed by a parent/guardian) to turn in for an early prize! Example: If your child has already sold 6 items, they may bring in the 2 Items coupon AND the 4 Items coupon. They will get a prize for each coupon turned in. Chicken Keychain prizes are pictured below!

A new month means a new School-Wide Assembly. Today, Nike Scouts were congratulated for different Class Awards! Such awards pertained to: Best Attendance, Cleanest Classroom, Best Manners, etc. Ask your student if their class was one of the award winners!
Dr. Tollison, along with her 4th grade leaders, introduced the Core Value of Respect. Students shared ideas with Dr. Tollison on what it means to be respectful at school.
