This evening our students will be competing in the District Spelling Bee. This event will be held in the PHS Auditorium at 5:30pm.
Our 2nd grade students have been busy researching famous inventors and pioneers. On Friday, they held a "Living Museum". Families were invited to listen to our students as they came "alive" to become their famous person. So fun!
The Meramec Valley R-III School District is offering a 4-week summer learning program that includes hands-on STEM based games, activities, and free field trips for incoming K-8 students. Yesterday, our Preschool to 1st Grade Warriors had a special visit from 6th Grade JAG students. This visit was part of their service learning unit, and it was heartwarming to see them engage and play together.

It was a great day for a parade. Coleman Poms participated in the Pacific St. Patrick's Day Parade today.
So many people attended and the streets were packed.
Students in Mrs. Watson's 3rd Grade held a "Writing Celebration" to showcase their informational writing. Topics included cars, cobras, Travis Scott, and severe weather. Students are more eager to research and write about topics that are of interest to them. Great job Warriors!

Yesterday was an exciting day. Special guest author and illustrator David Biedrzycki came to speak to our students. It was interesting to hear about his journey and the process he completes to write and illustrate his books. Our students helped him as he demonstrated drawing on his computer along with answering questions. His book “Invasion of the Unicorns” is very popular with our students and also a Show-Me Nominee. So many of our students and staff dressed for the occasion.

Students celebrated the end of 2nd Trimester with a field trip to the bowling alley. Everyone had such a good time bowling, dancing, and visiting with their friends.

Mrs. Guenzler's 2nd Grade class has been learning about landforms during Science. The students had fun making their landforms out of model magic. Creative and hands-on learning experiences are a beneficial way for students to apply, demonstrate, and retain what they have learned.
