Robertsville students and staff participated in a fantastic Read Across America Week. We had a book tasting, a manners lunch sponsored by PTO, a visit by an award winning author/illustrator, a lights out read, and a school wide dance party. What a week!
The MVR-III Special Education Department holds an annual field day, and this year students at each building will have a superhero-themed shirt to represent their specific school. You can purchase your own shirt at bit.ly/MVR3SFD, & a portion of the proceeds will help fund the activities we have in store for them. Two Kindergarten items for MVR-III families: KDG Registration is Now Open, & KDG Roundup is set for Wednesday, March 13. Families with other students currently attending MVR-III will register new kindergarteners through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Haven’t set up your Parent Portal? No Problem! Just call your building office for next steps. Families new to the district should begin registration by contacting the office of their assigned school, and staff will provide a link via email to complete the process. February 8th, 2024 was the 100th day of the school year for our students here at Robertsville Elementary. They had an awesome time! The outfits were amazing and everyone came together for a celebration at the end of the day. (There may have been staff dancing)
Students in Mrs. Wade's 2nd grade class have been learning about force and motion, conducting experiments to demonstrate that more force used results in objects moving greater distances. #MVNation

The Robertsville PTO did something wonderful this holiday season. They purchased, wrapped and delivered a board game for every student to take home before break. It was an effort to strengthen our home-to-school connection and engage our community. WOW!

2nd grade is reading Jellies the Life of a Jellyfish.
Nora (PHS alumna) is the vet tech at the St. Louis Aquarium. We did a virtual field trip and she explained all about the life cycle of a jellyfish. We saw two different species of jellyfish and learned even more.
Robertsville Elementary is very excited to share the addition of a new staff member. His name is Brutus Hill, and he is the therapy dog for our building. He spends most of his time in Mrs. Hill’s 4th grade class, but he regularly makes tours of the building with her to check up on everyone. The students in his class would like you to know how wonderful he is and how much just having him there helps them relax and focus on their tasks. Brutus has been in training to be a therapy dog since he was 12 weeks old, and now at 7 years of age he’s an old pro helping children and adults relieve their anxiety. Brutus loves his job. He even knows when he and Mrs. Hill are getting close to school and that he’ll see all of his friends soon! #MVNation
Susan Jahelka is a difference maker. She showed up to have lunch with a student on a day that she was not scheduled to work. Ms. Patti Fuller continues to provide a positive role model for all. Thank you both!
