Two Kindergarten items for MVR-III families: KDG Registration is Now Open, & KDG Roundup is set for Wednesday, March 13. Families with other students currently attending MVR-III will register new kindergarteners through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Haven’t set up your Parent Portal? No Problem! Just call your building office for next steps. Families new to the district should begin registration by contacting the office of their assigned school, and staff will provide a link via email to complete the process. Heart & Sole, a Girls on the Run program, is for any girl in grades 7-8 brave enough to be herself. Join us for an 8-week program that will empower you to tap into your strengths and learn new life skills. Every week, we’ll run, laugh and learn about what makes each other tick. The program ends with a celebration of how far you’ve come ... and a 5K that will remind you that you can crush any goal you set your mind to. Students in Ms. Miles' 2nd Trimester Digital Media class studied photo subjects and the elements of a photography. As a culminating activity, students took a photo of students and/or teachers and created a background for the picture. We then asked faculty and staff to choose their favorites. The top 4 photos pictured below will be displayed throughout the building.

8th grade Advanced Art Studio Class at Riverbend collaborated with teachers to beautify the building. Students get to interview a teacher and work with them to create a unique tile design just for their space in the classroom. Students are responsible for sketching, interviewing, collaborating and creating the ceiling tile artwork. Students work very hard to add a piece of art that will last during the years to come. Great job by all students.
This morning we held our annual Staff vs. Boys Basketball game. Our boys played hard but were no match for the staff. Check out some of the highlights from today's games.
This morning 44 Riverbend 7th and 8th graders were recognized for demonstrating the Pillar of Responsibility. We are proud of all of our students!

The Exploring Community Service students spent the day helping at the Red Cedar Inn. Students completed many tasks including: organizing pictures for genealogical records, organizing the gift shop, and cleaning up storage areas. It was an awesome day for all involved.
