Nike Scouts did a great job during our Fire Drill today!
Nike Elementary 2nd graders took a leadership role in a whole-school service-learning project this month.

They worked hard to organize and run a Stuffed Animal Drive, which helped the "Jail Buddies" program of the Franklin County Sheriff's Department. This program allows officers to gift stuffed animals to children they encounter in traumatic situations. Students learned about the benefits of this program and discussed the importance of giving back to their community. From creating posters and advertising this project to collecting, counting, cleaning, and even graphing the donation numbers, these Nike Scouts did an amazing job. Through their efforts, Nike Elementary was able to acquire close to 700 stuffed animals! A school-wide assembly was held to hand over these donations to Sergeant Perkins of the Franklin County Sheriff's Department. We are so proud of our 2nd graders for leading the way and making a difference! #MVNation #GrowingTogether

Nike was honored when Character Plus asked the school to share their character journey and the wonderful things happening each day at Nike regarding student character growth and development with staff from a neighboring district. On Friday, twenty teachers and administration from the School District of Washington spent the afternoon listening, seeing, and collaborating with Nike staff. Nike is very proud of the student leaders who presented spotlight areas of Nike, classroom teachers who welcomed the guests into their room to see the great daily growth, and the team who participated in the round table question and answer session with the School District of Washington staff.
Nike Elementary earned state recognition for their outstanding commitment to character development earlier this month. This remarkable achievement reinforces the efforts of our dedicated staff, the unwavering support of our parents, and the exceptional academic and social performances of our students.
MVR-III Building Support Staff & Teacher of the Year recipients at Nike Elementary & Pacific High were notified of their honor this week. Staff at each building nominate and vote for their peers when deciding this award. #MVNation is blessed to have Difference Makers like these!

MVR-III provides Kindergarten screenings for students kindergarten-eligible in the 2025-26 school year. Screenings are hosted at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center unless noted. Both daytime (8:45 AM - 3 PM) and evening (4:30 - 6:30 PM) slots are available. Daytime dates are March 3, March 24 (at Coleman), April 7 (at Nike), & April 28. Evening dates are March 27 & April 15. This week, Nike Scouts attended our monthly Character Assembly and reviewed our Core Value of Respectfulness. It is so important to show respect for ourselves, our peers, and even our school. We would like to congratulate the students that received Positive Office Referrals, as well. Thank you for being great role models!! 🤩
