Third Grade dissected daffodils during Science today. They were able to identify all the different parts. #MVNation
We played all school Bingo through Zoom with Mrs. Tollison on Friday. The students loved playing in the classroom and having this fun experience. Winners got to pick a prize. It was a fun way to conclude Read Across America week. #MVNation
Last week we played a video clip of mystery readers reading a page of a Dr. Suess book during morning announcements. Students had a chance to guess the book. We picked 3 winner each day and they received Book Fair bucks to spend at the book fair next week. #MVNation
Read Across America week gave Nike Scouts an opportunity to expand our love of reading. Yesterday, we did buddy reading with different grades. #MVNation
Congratulations to Mrs. Sarah Pettus, who was recognized as the Nike Support Staff member of the year. Mrs. Pettus, our school secretary, always has a smile on her face and kind words to say. She is very helpful to staff and students and goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly in the office and throughout the school. She is very positive and truly cares about every person in the building. We are lucky to have her at Nike!

During our March assembly, there were class awards for top 3 attendance (Ms. Katrina, Mrs. Terreri and Mrs. Thompson), cleanest class room (Mrs. Harris), best assembly manners (Mrs. Gann) and best cafeteria manners (Mrs. Burt)! We have amazing Nike Scouts who do their best everyday. #MVNation

Congratulations to Poppy Parker for being selected as our Nike Elementary Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Parker is a veteran Speech & Language Therapist. She is always so positive and uplifting. Mrs. Parker loves her students and treats all students in the building as her own. She sets high expectations and believes in her students' abilities to reach success. Today at 1pm, the whole school did a fun activity together. We did a Stop. Drop. and Read. Students either read independently or the teacher read a book to the class. Nike Scouts love reading. #MVNation
