Pancakes with Patriots was a huge success with 11 Veteran guests of Nike students. We filled their bellies with pancakes and fruit and honored them with an assembly. The whole school was in attendance and some 3rd and 4th grade students read the book “America’s White Table”. This book was a great book to share not only with the Veterans but with the students. The White Table is set in many mess halls as a symbol for and remembrance to service members fallen, missing, or held captive in the line of duty. It was great to connect students to Veterans Day and our special guests. Nike Scouts are grateful for your service and sacrifice.
