Coleman Elementary students in Ms. Griffin's 1st grade class have been visited by the Kindness Elf. This Elf is special because it encourages and challenges the students to find ways to practice kindness. Activities have included singing a holiday song for the office staff, showing appreciation to our custodian, Mr. Adams, complementing one another, and sharing ways to be kind during circle time. Each day, the students are so excited to hear what they will be doing next! #MVNation
Spectacular music performance by our 1st and 2nd grade students this evening. The audience was entertained as our students sang, danced, and played instruments. They even made it snow at the end!!
Look out world!! Our Warriors are ready to join the work force. The 4th grade field trip to JA BizTown was a great success. Whether they were mayor, a CEO, worked for a bank, hospital or radio station. The students worked hard to complete their jobs and showed great leadership potential.
Last week, Coleman Warriors were visited by the Street Blues. This free ball hockey program aims to get elementary students interested in the game of hockey. Students were taught fundamentals and special guest Louie stopped by to meet and play with the kids. 💙💛
As families are about to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. We would like to highlight how our Coleman Warriors have been giving to others in need and showing thanks. Earlier in the month, our students were busy collecting food for families in need. Congratulations to Mrs. O’Halloran’s class for collecting the most items. Our 1st and 2nd grade classes wrote very personal reflections about what they are most thankful for. We are so proud and thankful to have such a caring school community. 💜
We ended the week with our First Trimester Awards Assembly! Great Job Warriors!

Students in Mrs. Watson's 3rd grade class had their narrative writing celebration on Wednesday. Students shared their narratives with family and friends. Great work!! You all should be very proud.
Ms. Jones’ KDG and Ms. Mathew's 3RD GR classes started buddy groups at Coleman Elem. last week. Students will meet every few weeks throughout the year to partner-read or complete an activity together. This is an effective way to encourage positive relationships between students!
Students enjoyed lunch outside today. It was nice to see everyone sharing spaces, playing, and making new friends.
Lots of fun and excitement the past couple of days. The Coleman Trunk or Treat and Halloween Parade were a great success. So many fun costumes. And more importantly, SMILES and memories!!
Spooky topics make for fun writing activities. Students in Kindergarten made lists of ingredients for Witches Brew. 3rd graders created unique and interesting monsters. Once finished, they used adjectives to describe different characteristics of the monster.
Lots of Ghouls and Goblins attended Coleman's Trunk or Treat Friday Evening. Fun all around!!

The Future is So Bright for the students at Coleman. Our kiddos dressed up in bright colors on Wednesday. Followed by the careers they aspire to be on Thursday. The possibilities are endless.
